We are seeking an experienced Controller who can take full ownership of our accounting function. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident managing the full accounting cycle, producing accurate financials, and working independently in a remote environment.

What You Will Do
Own the Accounting Function
- Lead and manage the full month-end close process
- Handle full-cycle accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including profit and loss and balance sheet
- Book accruals and adjusting journal entries
Maintain Accurate Financial Records
- Prepare and maintain detailed, audit-ready workpapers
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and aligned with U.S. GAAP
Manage Systems and Reporting
- Oversee accounting operations within QuickBooks Online
- Maintain organized and consistent financial reporting processes
- Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency within accounting workflows
What You Bring
Required Experience
- Public accounting experience required
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies
- Proven experience owning the month-end close process
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting
- Experience preparing and maintaining workpapers
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage financial data with accuracy and consistency
Work Style
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Clear English communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or home care
